Munster Rugby Legend Paul O'Connell to Join Lansdowne RFC New York for a Special Youth Rugby Event
Lansdowne RFC New York is delighted to welcome former Munster and Ireland captain Paul O'Connell for a special evening of rugby at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers on Tuesday, September 8, from 5:30–7:00 p.m.
The event will bring together players, families, friends, and members of the local rugby community for an opportunity to meet one of the game's most respected figures and enjoy an evening centered around rugby, learning, and fun.
O'Connell enjoyed an outstanding playing career with Munster and Ireland, becoming one of the most recognizable leaders in Irish rugby. During his visit, young players will have the chance to take part in rugby activities, learn from an elite-level player and coach, and create some memorable moments both on and off the field.
The evening will include skills and fun activities, opportunities to meet Paul O'Connell, photos, and plenty of rugby for players of all ages and experience levels.
Lansdowne RFC New York is proud to create opportunities like this for the next generation of players and to strengthen the connection between our club, the New York rugby community, and Munster Rugby.

Lansdowne Youth Rugby was founded in 2022 by the Old Boys of Lansdowne RFC New York, with a simple but powerful goal: to teach the next generation the game of rugby and the values that come with it. Led entirely by volunteer coaches, we develop rugby skills alongside respect, sportsmanship and camaraderie — keeping tuition affordable so opportunity stays open to everyone.
